Product description
ArduPower Controller is an Arduino-compatible power controller PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) designed for use in industry, smart home, and makers automation projects.
To provide greater versatility, all PowerIO channels can be configured as either inputs or outputs. Additionally, these channels are grouped into blocks, allowing outputs at different voltage levels.
The device is easily programmable from the Arduino IDE platform via USB by selecting the Arduino Leonardo board.
It features an LED lighting system that indicates the configuration of each PowerIO channel (input or output) in real time and displays the voltage level in the analog inputs and outputs (with brightness proportional to the voltage value).
With a design aimed at supporting a wide range of applications, shields can be assembled to the ArduPower Controller to add new functions, such as Internet connectivity via WiFi or Bluetooth.
The standard ICSP connector allows for easy uploading or repairing of the Arduino microcontroller firmware and bootloader.
A casing option with a DIN rail is available, simplifying its installation in industrial and home automation panels.
Its design ensures it can be used in both domestic applications and industrial environments, always complying with the necessary technical and safety directives.
What is a PLC
A Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is an industrial digital computer that has been ruggedized and adapted for the control of manufacturing processes, such as assembly lines or robotic devices, or any activity that requires high reliability and ease of programming, and process fault diagnosis.
PLCs are designed for multiple input and output arrangements, extended temperature ranges, immunity to electrical noise, and resistance to vibration and impact. Programs to control machine operation are typically stored in battery-backed or non-volatile memory.
These controllers are used in many machines in various industries. Unlike general-purpose computers, the PLC is designed for multiple inputs and output arrangements, extended temperature ranges, immunity to electrical noise, and resistance to vibration and impact. Programs to control machine operation are typically stored in battery-backed or non-volatile memory.
PLCs have become an integral part of industrial automation, offering high reliability, ease of programming, and robust functionality to meet the demanding needs of modern industrial processes.
